Leroy Bockbrader was born and reared in the surrounding area, and has lived in Fostoria with his wife, Elaine, since 1970.

He is a graduate of Bloomdale High School and Tiffin University with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, where he subsequently taught for 3 years.

Leroy was first licensed as a real estate salesman in 1969 and was associated with Burns Realty for 7 years.  He then obtained his Broker's License and was self-employed at Bockbrader Realty from 1976-1986.  More recently, he has been a licensed salesman for American Heritage Realty for the past 10 years.
